Andrew Motyliwski Obituary, Death – In the middle of the night on July 12th, 2023, he abruptly passed away in the Trillium Health Partners Mississauga Hospital. He was 54 years old. Motyliwski was the much-loved son of Hania (Anna), also known as Bill, and Wasyl. Motyliwski went by the moniker Moty. eminent member of the Potoczny family and brother of Dania (Peter) Potoczny. Zorianna has a very cherished uncle who also acts in the role of Godfather for her.
After serving with the Canadian Armed Forces for over 35 years, Andrew went on to become a secondary school teacher for the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board. There, he was responsible for instructing pupils in the fields of robotics and computer science. Andrew received numerous awards throughout his time in the military. Andrew was a very involved participant in the activities of the Ukrainian Youth Association (CYM), which he had been a part of for a considerable period of time. Andrew had an immense sense of pride in his Ukrainian ancestry.
His pupils, coworkers, friends, and family will miss him terribly. He will also be missed by himself. He will not be overlooked in our hearts. On Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 3 to 8 p.m., friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Turner & Porter “Peel” Chapel, which is located at 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga (Hwy 10 North of Q.E.W). Divine Liturgy will be held on the morning of Monday, July 17, 2023 at 10 o’clock at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, which can be found at 3625 Cawthra Road.
