Arlene Samuelson Obituary, Death – Arlene (Farner) Samuelson, age 81, passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 9, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her family. She had been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. She was the daughter of Wesley A. and Rhema A. (Allen) Farner, and she was born in Gowanda on August 4, 1941. Her parents were Wesley A. and Rhema A. (Allen). Arlene, who worked as a Therapy Aid at the JN Adam Developmental Centre prior to her retirement, clocked in more than 25 years of service at the facility before deciding to call it quits.
1995 was the year that she officially retired from her job. After her departure, she has left behind a number of people, including her children Michael J. Samuelson of Leon, Patricia A. Castellano of Cherry Creek, and Gale L. Leger of Gowanda. 4 grandchildren ; Steven and Kyle Samuelson , Kristen M. Heitzinger and Madison Leger, together with her siblings; Irene (Chuck) Pfeifer, Bonnie Drodz and Alfred Farner. Arlene’s sister-in-law Bridget Farner is one of the persons who will keep her memory alive after her passing.
There are several cousins, including nieces and nephews, who are still living now. Her brothers Wayne and Warren Farner, in addition to her sister Sharon Hull, all away before Arlene did. Arlene was preceded in death not only by her parents, but also by her three older siblings. Due to Arlene’s express wish, there will be no prior visitation, and there will also be no funeral service held in her honour. Instead, the family will mourn her passing in private.
