Beatrice Rasmussen Obituary, Death – Beatrice Helen Rasmussen, who had been living in Billings, Montana, passed away on June 28th, 2023. She was the daughter of Charles Edwin Wolf and Helen Sarah Pease Wolf, and she was born on June 15th, 1936 in Crow Agency, Montana. Bea had her elementary education in a country school located on Soap Creek. After that, she spent two years obtaining her high school diploma at Lodge Grass High School. In 1955, she graduated from a private Christian school located in Bacone, Oklahoma.
She tied the knot with Keith Wagner in 1957. They welcomed into the world three little ones: Kristel Marie, Charles Preston, and Robbin Jeffery. Bea and Keith owned and maintained the Wolf Ranch on Soap Creek until they divorced in 1977 and went their own ways. In 1980, Bea tied the knot with Phil Rasmussen. Phil and Bea worked side by side on the farm located on Owl Creek, and they also helped her son, Chuck, rear cattle on the property located on Soap Creek. In the month of May in 2022, Phil died away.
At the time, she was employed at the Yellowtail Market in Fort Smith in the capacity of a clerk. Following that, Bea worked at the IHS in Lodge Grass after having previously worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Downing in Hardin. In later years, she established the Indian Country Gift Shop in Lodge Grass. Up until the year 2010, Bea served as the director of the Lodge Grass Senior Center. After that, she took early retirement. She was active in the Crow Indian Baptist Church, which she belonged to.
She had a lot of talent as an artist. Bea’s artistic pursuits included painting, beadwork, pottery, and photography. She was interested in untamed birds and flowers, and she had a passion for gardening. She would offer free squash in proportion to the amount that people would take. Bea has a stunningly lovely singing voice; she was active in the community theater scene in Hardin, and she toured with the Bacone Choir during her senior year of high school.
Her parents, her son Charles Wagner, her husband Phil Rasmussen, her sisters Gwen O’Brien and Mary Ruth Hammett, her brother Norman “Buz” Wolf, her sister-in-law Mary Louise Wolf, and her brother-in-law John Hammett have all passed away before her. She is survived by her husband Phil Rasmussen and her son Charles Wagner.
Bea is survived by her children Kristel (Bill) Blair and Robbin (Arlene) Wagner; her grandchildren and great grandchildren, William (Heather) Blair and their children Quint and Halle, Amanda Blair and Kyle Gardner and their daughter Beatrice, Jessica (Iann) Deahl and their children Erros and Seneca, Devin (Mabel) Wagner and their son Anson, Nicole (Tim) McNew and their children Keely and Lexi, Brianna Wagner, Sara
