Betty Holmes Obituary, Death – On July 2, 2023, in the town of Monson, Betty J. Holmes, age 56, died away in a calm and quiet manner. Betty was born in Palmer, Massachusetts on June 22, 1967 to her late parents, Robert M. Holmes and Carol Young. Betty was brought up in Monson by her cherished grandma, Nettie Holmes, as well as by her devoted father. She completed her high schooling at Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School and received her diploma.

She worked as a manager at the petrol station in Wilbraham for a number of years, and she devoted her life to assisting everybody and everyone she came into contact with. Betty was very involved in the life of the Monson-Glendale United Methodist Church, where she was a member. She served as the President of the United Methodist Women’s Group in addition to being the Financial Secretary of the organization, a Trustee, a Member of the Choir, and a Church Greeter. Baking, bingo, sewing, and crocheting were some of her favorite hobbies. She enjoyed assisting others in any way that she could, but above all else, she liked being among other people.

Her father, her grandmother, and her sisters, Karen and Millie Holmes, all passed away before Betty was born. She leaves behind her cherished church family, her niece Katlynn Holmes of Ware, as well as a large number of friends. The Lombard Funeral Home in Monson has been entrusted with the care of the deceased. On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, visiting hours will be held from 5 to 7 pm, and a Funeral Service will follow at 7 pm to bring the evening to a close. The burial will be carried out in secret.
