Bryce Burditt Obituary, Death –Paul Brenton, the superintendent of Plainfield Public Schools, stated in an email that Burditt was a student at Plainfield High School. The high school will be accessible for students and members of the community to come in and chat to the student support team that the district has assembled. On Thursday and Friday, psychotherapists and social workers will be available for consultation. State police earlier stated that another passenger in the vehicle, later identified as Chanelle Edwards, 15, of Griswold, died as a result of her injuries after the incident.

On June 25, at around 4:30 in the morning, a Toyota Prius was travelling eastbound on Allen Hill Road when the vehicle failed to come to a complete stop at an intersection and collided head-on with a tree. The initial report from state police indicated that a 17-year-old was operating the vehicle, however it is currently unknown who was in control of the vehicle.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner informed the Hartford Police Department on Wednesday that Bryce Burditt, age 16, was pronounced dead at Hartford Hospital on July 4th. The Hartford Police Department stated that they received this information from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
