Carolyn McGuigan Obituary, Death – On July 10, 2023, Carolyn McGuigan passed away in a calm and quiet manner at her home. Carolyn is survived by her husband Patrick McGuigan of Fort Collins, her children Jason McGuigan of Plainfield, Illinois, and Megan McGuigan of Dunwoody, Georgia, her daughter in law Michele McGuigan, and her three grandchildren, Justin McGuigan, Jeremy McGuigan, and Joshua McGuigan. Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and she counted a large extended family and many dear friends among her many blessings in life.
Carolyn’s birthday is February 7th, and she was born in West Covina, California, in 1949. She went to Edgewood High School, and after she graduated, she joined the organization Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA), where she worked with disadvantaged people in both West Virginia and the District of Columbia. Pat, her future husband, and she started dating while they were both in high school in Southern California. On February 6, 1971, they got married in the state of California. Because of company relocations, many years were spent in the areas surrounding Rochester, New York; Chicago, Illinois; and Fort Collins, Colorado.
Carolyn Skelton was preceded in death by her grandparents John and Merrill Skelton, her parents John and Merrill Skelton, and her older brothers Paul and Stephen Skelton. Carolyn had a very rich and fulfilling life, one in which she took part in a number of fantastic travel adventures and contributed her time and energy to a number of charitable organizations. Her many friends and members of her extended family will grieve for her passing since she was the kind of wife every man dreams of having at some point in his life.
