Cindy Colyer Obituary, Death Cause – After a valiant battle against brain cancer at Nursing and Rehabilitation at the Mansion in Sunbury, Cindy E. (Stuck) Colyer, age 54, of Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, went into everlasting rest on Monday, July 3, 2023. She was a resident of Selinsgrove. Cindy Stuck is the daughter of the late Lester E. and Clara C. (Burkey) Stuck. She was born on October 31st, 1968 in the city of Sunbury. She tied the knot with the person she had loved her whole life, Robin L. Colyer, on September 22, 1990.
Cindy attended Middleburg High School and graduated in the year 1986. The Selinsgrove Elementary School, Rotech, and Kohl’s Building Products were among the places that had previously hired her. Her commitment to helping others in the community led her to hold a variety of volunteer positions, such as that of a 4-H leader, where she worked for more than 30 years; a den leader and committee member of Boy Scout Troup 419; a member of the Selinsgrove Band Boosters; and a teacher at St. John’s Lutheran Church’s Sunday School.
She was skilled in the kitchen and the oven. Crafting and sewing were two of her favorite hobbies, and she even sewed her own wedding gown. She strived for excellence in all that she undertook. Cindy was the first person to offer assistance in whatever situation you would find yourself in. Cindy was a very supportive wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend throughout her whole life.
She is survived by her husband, Robin; son, Cameron Colyer and his wife, Tanesha, of Selinsgrove; precious granddaughter, Rio Josette; brother, David Stuck and his wife Tonyah of Mt. Pleasant Mills; sister, Jean Fawver and her husband Shane of Mt. Pleasant Mills; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lee and Norma Colyer of McAlisterville; aunt, Sandra Wonsik of Stonington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cindy is followed in death by her parents, Lester and Clara, as well as her sister, Carol Stuck. Her son, Joseph N. Colyer, who passed away on September 14, 2021, came before her in death.
