Darisha Vath Obituary, Death – The young woman who passed away early Sunday morning in downtown Forest Lake after a conflict between two groups of individuals, during which authorities allege she was purposefully ran over by a vehicle, had a deep passion for animals and aspired to work in the veterinary field. According to Captain Greg Weiss of the Forest Lake Police Department, Darisha Tela Bailey Vath, 17, of Stacy, Minnesota, passed away after being struck by a Mazda 3 driven by Dylan Robert Simmons, 20, of North Branch, at around 1:20 a.m. on Sunday.

Dylan Robert Simmons was a resident of North Branch. According to him, the two were familiar with one another. When authorities from the Forest Lake Police Department rushed to the Lakeside Memorial Park on Broadway Avenue, they discovered a bystander in the parking lot administering chest compressions to Vath. According to the police, despite the efforts of the responding officers, firefighters, and emergency medical technicians, Vath was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was involved in a collision with the back of a vehicle that contained five individuals on the opposing side of the conflict. The complaint states that witnesses told the police that Simmons then reversed his vehicle and drove directly toward many persons who were near another vehicle. Simmons struck Vath with the front passenger side of his automobile and ran over her with all four tires.
