Deirdre Morris Obituary, Death Cause – After a protracted and courageous struggle with breast cancer, Deirdre R. Morris, age 30, died away on Thursday, July 6, 2023. Deirdre was a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was devoted to all of these roles. The things in her life about which she was most proud were the fact that she had successfully brought up her kid, remained a devoted wife, and loved her family. The presence of Deirdre, with her joyful spirit and expressive features, never failed to bring a smile to everyone’s face.
Swimming, hunting with her dad, spending time at the beach with family, playing in the snow with her kid, and riding in the 59 Ford pick-up truck with her loving husband were some of her greatest joys in her personal life. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach with family. In addition to that, she liked traveling to antique shops, playing board games with her family, coloring, visiting pumpkin patches, and putting up Christmas decorations. Both the Mount Washington Church of God and the Twisted Pink Breast Cancer group counted Deirdre as a member at one point or another.
She is survived by her grandmother, Charlotte Scrogham; her Papaw and Nanny, Bruce and Esther Marcum; her husband, Austin Morris; her son, Lance; her parents, Johnny and Sheila Bryant; her father and mother in law Jason and Gayle Morris; as well as her mother in law Heather Raisor; her sister, Alisha Bodner, (Rob); her nephews Lochlan and Declan; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her cherished dog, Grace. Her grandfather, James E. Scrogham senior, her aunt Roxann Lawhorn, and her uncle Michael Bryant all passed away before her. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
