Dennis Wittam Obituary, Death – It is with deep sorrow that we must inform you of the passing of Dennis Wittam, who served as the Honorary Battalion Chief of the Fire Department of New York City (FDNY), President of the Nassau County Volunteer Emergency Emergency Board (VEEB), Fire News Editor, and Former Captain of the Terryville Fire Department (Terryville Fire Department). It is with great regret that we inform you of his passing on behalf of the Officers of the AFDSNY.
Additionally, Dennis Wittam presided over the Board of Directors of the Nassau County VEEB during his tenure there. The funeral services are going to be carried out in the manner that is described in the paragraphs that follow this one. The wake will be held at the Bryant Funeral Home, which can be found at 411 Old Town Road in the Bryant neighbourhood of Setauket, New York, 11733 on Wednesday, July 12 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm, as well as on Thursday.
July 13 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm, with a fireside service beginning at 7:30 pm in both cases. The wake will also be held on Friday, July 14 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
