During the time that he worked for Hockessin Hardware, he not only became a treasured part of the Hockessin Hardware family, but he also assumed a role that was essential to the functioning of the company as a whole. Doug was the nicest and most genuine person we have ever met, and he was the one who had us laughing and smiling the whole time.
He was also the one who brought us to this place. In addition to that, he was the one who kept us in command of the circumstance. In addition to this, we had him to thank for the unending delight that we experienced because he was the one who brought it about. Everyone that interacted with him in any way, shape, or form was able to sense the warmth that he emanated, and they were able to pick up on it. He had a way of making his presence known to everyone around him.
His family, whom he loved very much and who will be greatly missed by all of us, have our sincere condolences. He valued his family very much.
