Dugald Macqueen Obituary, Death – DUGALD ‘Dugie’ MACQUEEN is a native of both Portree and Balnacra, and he currently resides in Balnacra. At the age of 85 and suddenly, but in a peaceful manner, Dugald MacLean MacQueen passed away at his house in Balnacra, Strathcarron, on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. Beloved brother to Mairi and Cathy, who passed away, treasured friend to many, treasured uncle, and treasured owner of Rusty the dog.
Mairi and Cathy were his sisters. Mairi and Cathy had both previously passed away before to his passing.
Despite the fact that he was born in Portree, Dugie spent a sizeable chunk of his life traveling all over the world. After gaining experience in the city of Auckland in New Zealand, the city of Los Angeles in the United States, and the city of London in the United Kingdom, he moved back to the Highlands to work on his family’s farm.
Served in the Royal Scots and Lowland Brigade and achieved a high level of success. The burial will take place at the Portree Cemetery following the funeral service, which will begin at 2:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 12, 2023, and will take place in the Free Presbyterian Church located in Portree. We will never be able to fill the void left by his kindness, loyalty, quick wit, and sense of humor; but, we will never forget him.
