Eleanor McGuinness Obituary, Death – Eleanor McGuinness, who was 63 years old at the time of her death on July 9, 2023, passed away calmly in University Hospital Wishaw. Her passing occurred on that date. Jeanie and Michael were pleased to become parents for the first time on November 16, 1959, to their daughter Eleanor, who was affectionately referred to as “Nell” by her relatives and friends. Nell was a beloved sister of Sarah, John, Liz, Mary, and Willie, all of whom have since passed away. Mary and Willie are the only two of the five still living.
She was a devoted mother to her children Paul, Dave, Sarah, and Stephen, and later on in her life she would also take on the position of mother-in-law to Stacey. Her children Paul, Dave, Sarah, and Stephen are all adults now. Nell’s most important job in life was that of a doting grandmother to her four grandchildren: Lucas, Kendall, Paul, and Kylen. This position brought her the greatest joy. On Tuesday evening, the 18th of July, there will be a recitation of the Rosary held at the residence of the family, which can be found at 32 Mitchell Street in the Kirkwood neighborhood of Kirkwood. The time for this event is seven o’clock.
Eleanor will make her final journey from Mitchell Street to the Coats Funeral Home in the afternoon of Wednesday, July 19, at 13:40. There, a memorial service and celebration of Nelly’s life will take place at the funeral home. Following that, a funeral service for Eleanor will be held at Coltswood Cemetery, and she will be laid to rest there immediately after the conclusion of the service. There will be a third opportunity to commemorate and celebrate Eleanor McGuinness’s life at St. Monica’s Church Hall, and the family extends a heartfelt welcome to anybody who would like to join them there. The event will be conducted in memory of Eleanor McGuinness.
