Gerald Duncan Obituary, Death – Gerald made himself accessible at all times to engage in conversation with residents and pay attention to the concerns they raised. Gerald was the one who initially devised the company procedures and guidelines that are now put into practice at our office to this very day. At the McCoy Funeral Home in Blacksburg, Virginia, on Friday, a memorial service commemorating the life of the individual who has passed away will be held.
The wake will take place in the evening, beginning at 3:30 and continuing until 5:30. The wake will begin at 1:30 p.m., and the funeral ceremony will be held in the chapel of the McCoy Funeral Home. Please let everyone who might be interested know about this opportunity and encourage them to take advantage of it if they do. During this extremely trying time, we ask that you include the Duncan family in your thoughts and prayers as well. They are going through a very terrible period right now.
This office will be permanently shutting its doors for the last time on Friday, July 14, 2023 at noon. I am writing to advise you of the passing of Gerald Duncan, who had previously worked as the Treasurer for Giles County. He was a longtime resident of Giles County. I say this with a heavy feeling in my chest. Gerald was the elected Treasurer of Giles County for more than 17 years, during which time he provided service to the citizens of that county.
