Halime Toulany Obituary, Death – The name Halime “Bud” Toulany. We are saddened to inform you that Halime “Bud” Toulany passed away on July 5, 2023 at the age of 49. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends. His devoted parents, Halime and Josephine, as well as his siblings Raymond, Hana, and Saleem, all of Dartmouth, and his nieces, Zanna and Julia, will miss him dearly. Both of Halime’s paternal grandparents, Saleem (Melanie) Toulany and Yacoub (Nazmia) Chidiac, passed away before he was born.

Halime spent his childhood in Dartmouth, where he went to school, established his own business, and gained a large number of acquaintances. He was the owner and operator of The Hungry Hut, which was located in the center of Dartmouth. He leaves left a legacy of love and kindness that will not be forgotten in anyone’s lifetime. His famous remark was “often imitated, but never duplicated,” which he said was a testament to his brilliance. Was he ever on the mark? The work ethic of Halime was admirable.

He had a generous nature and was exceedingly loyal, perhaps more so than anyone else. Because he took so immense pride in whatever he accomplished, one could describe him as a perfectionist. Antique vehicles, fishing, music, and cooking were some of Halime’s favorite hobbies. He also enjoyed music. During the last few days of his life. He impressed all of us with his bravery, dignity, and strength that he demonstrated throughout his life.

All those who had the good fortune to have known him will miss him greatly and have already begun to feel the void that his passing has left behind. We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the whole team at Dartmouth General Hospital for the extraordinary care and compassion that they provided to our loved one. Visitation will be conducted from 2:00 to 4:00 and from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, July 10, at the Atlantic Funeral Home, which is located at 771 Main Street in Dartmouth.

On Tuesday, July 11, at 11 am, a funeral ceremony will be held at Our Lady of Lebanon Church, which is located at 111 Clayton Park Drive, in Halifax. The burial will take place after the service in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, which is located in Lower Sackville.
