Jack Alexander Obituary, Death Cause – On June 29, 2023, Jack Dee Alexander, 85 years old, a resident of Greentown, Indiana, passed away. He was the son of Merle Delight (Raypholtz) Alexander, who predeceased him, and the late Frank E. Alexander, who gave birth to him on September 28th, 1937 in Marion, Indiana. On November 17, 1956, he tied the knot with LaMerle Wales. He attended services at the Normal Church of Christ regularly. After Mr. Alexander retired from Chrysler in 2001, he spent his time traveling, working in his woodworking shop, and operating as a Ham Radio Operator in addition to enjoying his retirement home in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Jack was also active in the Jonesboro Masonic Lodge, The Samaritan Lodge in Fort Wayne in 1968, the Scottish Ride in 1972, and the Valley of Mizpah Shrine in Indianapolis. All of these organizations are fraternal organizations. Daughters Jacquelyn (Ross) Petty of Washburn, Tennessee, Jill (Mark) Aswad of Locke, New York, and Jennifer (Dwayne) Poole of Portland, Tennessee are the only surviving members of Jack’s family. Grandchildren Michael (Michelle) Lybrook, Jennifer Lybrook, Amanda Lybrook, Jeffery Brandon (Jessica) Shiposh, Krista (Michael) Abresch, Casey Shiposh, Corey (Lizza) Shiposh, John Alexander, Joseph (Bri) Turner, and Brock (Maggie) Poole. Grandchildren Michael (Michelle) Lybrook, Jennifer Lybrook, Amanda Lybrook.

In addition, there are 28 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and a number of step-grandchildren. Jack’s parents, his wife, and his siblings James Lee Alexander, David Alan Alexander, Michael David Alexander, and Rebecca Sue Alexander Adams all passed away before him. College Park Chapel of Armes Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, located at 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953; they have been entrusted with making the necessary arrangements. On Sunday, July 2, 2023, there will be a visitation from two until five in the afternoon, followed by a Masonic Rites Service at five in the evening. On the afternoon of Monday, July 3, 2023, at 3:30 p.m., there will be a service, and the burial will immediately follow at Grant Memorial Park in Marion, Indiana. The services will be officiated by Pastor Ed Bridegroom.
