When you were around, there was never a moment without laughter. I’m grateful that you don’t apologize for being who you are. My entire being is aching with pain right now.
I’m grateful that God allowed us to spend such quality time together in such close proximity. DJ, you really brought a lot of life to the party. Anywhere you brought your energy, it would illuminate the entire place. I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know you and to have so many wild experiences with you. You looked up to me as if I were your sister, and I most certainly looked up at you as if you were my brother.
I am very grateful for all of the times that you came up to me and pulled me to the side so that we could have a heart-to-heart conversation and talk about life. I’d tell you to relax and take it easy, but I know you better than that. You’re going to give heaven some hell. Dj, you deserved more, buddy, and I am grateful for the impression you made on each and every person who had the opportunity to get to know you. You will be in our memories forever.
