Joe Fedora Obituary, Death  – On July 8, 2023, at the age of 85, Joseph Fedora passed away in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by his devoted family. Joe was the offspring of Andrew Sr. and Anna Fedora, Joe’s mother and father. Joe was the ninth and final kid in his family. His sisters Dorothy, Marge, and Ann, as well as his brothers Paul, John, Andrew, Walter, and Ted, all passed away before he did. Both Ashley Street School and Westfield Trade High School were on his educational path. After that, Joe completed his studies at Western New England College and received a degree in mechanical engineering from there. He retired from Hamilton Standard in Connecticut, where he had worked throughout his career in the manufacturing industry.

His previous employers include Smith & Wesson and Chapman Valve. His military career spanned twenty-five years, during which he served in both the Air Force Reserves and the Army National Guard before retiring in 1997 from both branches. He was a devout follower of the Catholic faith and spent his time as a teenager serving as an altar boy. In his later years, he attended the Immaculate Conception Church in Indian Orchard, where he eventually became a Eucharistic Minister and also served on the Parish Council and in the Hearts and Hands Ministry. After moving to Belchertown, he continued his involvement with the St. Francis of Assisi Church by attending services there until his health began to deteriorate.

Randy is survived by his wife Karen, Christopher by his wife Mary, and Gregory by his wife Robin. Joe also has ten grandchildren: Monique, Jacob, Cassie, Mark, Steven, Dylan, Marina, and Matthew. In addition, Donald Foisy of Wilbraham, his best friend of over half a century, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, and acquaintances. Joe was a loyal friend, neighbor, and family member to his wife, children, and grandchildren. Throughout his entire life, Joe’s rock and basis was his faith in God and his love for God. On Monday, July 17th, visiting hours will be held at the funeral home of Beers & Story in Belchertown between the hours of 9:00 am and 10:30 am.

This will be followed by a liturgy of Christian burial that will be place at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Belchertown at 11:00 am. After the service, burial will take place in South Cemetery.
