John Manz Obituary, Death – We were saddened to hear about the demise of Most Reverend John Manz yesterday evening, and we are keeping those who were closest to him in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. They have our deepest condolences in this time of loss. Bishop Manz, who was ordained as a priest in 1971 and later ascended to the position of bishop in 1996 after having served as an auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Chicago in the past, served as an auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Chicago in the past.
