Joyce Henrietta Obituary, Death – At the age of 87, Joyce Henrietta Matuszak of Pulaski, Pennsylvania passed away at her home on Monday, July 17, 2023. On July 25, 1935, in the city of De Pere, the birth of Charles and Magdaline (Denis) Mulloy’s daughter took place. Joyce relocated to the Pulaski region when she was a little child and attended Pulaski High School until she graduated in 1953. After more than four decades of service, she retired from the Prevea Clinic in Green Bay in 2014 but continued to serve there on a part-time basis for several years afterward.
Joyce was a previous member of the Council of Catholic Women (Christian Mothers) at the parish she attended for many years, which was the Assumption B.V.M. Parish in Pulaski. Joyce was also a member of the Anston Social Club for many years. Reading, playing cards, and watching the Green Bay Packers on television were some of her favorite activities. The 70th high school reunion for PHS will take place on July 26, and Joyce was a significant contributor to the organization of the event.
Joyce is survived by her four children: Laurie Fischer (special friend, Randy) and her children, Chad (Sarah) Fischer, Allison Fischer, and Maria (Tony) Wall; Cindy Fischer (fiancé, Rob Diederich) and her children, Todd (Michelle) Frisch, Travis Frisch, Troy (Tammy) Frisch, and Tim Frisch; Doug (Lisa) Matuszak and their children, Stepfanie Matuszak and Chase Matuszak; Dean (Paula) Matuszak and their son, Jordan Matuszak.
In addition, she is left by 11 great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law named Florence Mulloy, a friend who she has known for a very long time named Geraldine Wesolowski, the father of her children, Norbert J. Matuszak, and a number of nieces and nephews in addition to other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Charles and Magdaline, she was predeceased by her siblings, Janet (Harry) Cornelissen, Patrick (Marge) Mulloy, Bernice Fox, Jim (Florence) Mulloy, and Richard Mulloy; as well as a granddaughter named Lisa Fischer.
Her parents Charles and Magdaline were also among those who died before her. On Monday, July 24, from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m., friends and family are welcome to attend a gathering at the Assumption B.V.M. Church, which is located at 119 E. Pulaski Street. The funeral mass will take place at midday, and Father James Esser, O.F.M. will preside over the ceremony. In the Ft. Howard Memorial Park in Green Bay is where the interment will take place.
