Keith Kizer Obituary, Death – On July 8, 2023, Keith Leown Kizer, who had been a resident of Elmira, New York, passed away while he was at ease in the setting of his own residence. He had been a resident of Elmira for many years. During the course of his long and eventful life, he had already reached the ripe old age of 76 when he finally left. Keith Keeney Kizer was born on April 10th, 1947, in the city of Corning, which is situated within the state of New York. Carl and Marian (Keeney) Kizer were his parents’ names.
He was named after them. He was given his name in honor of him. In recognition and respect of them, their names were given to him. In honor of his mother, he gave his kid the surname Keeney, which was his mother’s maiden name. He also named his son after his mother. His mother’s maiden name was Keeney, therefore he took it after her. Outside of his work at A&P, Faye Paving, and Hess Well Drilling, he enjoyed a broad variety of hobbies and activities, some of which include fishing, hunting, riding, and collecting old automobiles and motorbikes. He was also an avid collector of vintage aircraft.
Aside from his professional life, he also collected vintage weapons in his spare time. This hobby was one of many things he did. In addition to working for A&P and Faye Paving, he also had a job with Hess Well Drilling. Keith is survived by his children, Tammy (Ed) Ford of Elmira, NY, Holly (Matt) Newhart of Hillsborough, NC, Shawn Kizer of Millerton, PA, and Mindy (Butch Smith) Kizer of Hillsborough, NC; grandchildren Katie Updyke and Dustin (Samantha Green) Lewis; great grandchildren Ravenna Lewis and Jacob Lewis; and brothers Roger Kizer and Jim (Sharon) Kizer, both of Tioga, Pennsylvania.
