Ken Lawrence Obituary, Death – I had the luxury of working closely with Ken when we took over administration of BetterBounce ten years ago. He trained me on EN14960 standards and testing during that time, and it was a great experience. We worked on this project jointly. During that time, we exchanged many thoughts and comments with one another in the form of back-and-forth talks. Ken Lawrence was one of the people in the early 1990s who had the idea for the product that would later be referred to as PM67.
This notion originated at the beginning of the decade. Recently, he was one of the people who came up with EN14960 and its various updates over the years. These standards have been in place for quite some time. Over the course of the past few decades, these guidelines have been evolved. Throughout the course of his career, Ken’s extensive knowledge and expertise were readily apparent in a variety of settings, each of which was in a distinct industry.
He was extremely kind in sharing the wealth of knowledge that he possessed, devoting a significant amount of time to the formulation of industry standards, the enhancement of safety regulations, and the provision of his own sound and, shall we say, “unique” counsel to anyone sought his guidance. Due to the fact that he went away, all of those who had the honor of knowing him would miss him very much since he held an unmatched level of integrity, ethics, and standing within the industry.
This is because of the fact that they had the opportunity to know him. The void that will be caused by his departure from us will be enormous. He is considered a trailblazer in the industry and is credited with the development of a significant number of the safety laws that are in effect today. I owe Ken a great deal of gratitude for the fact that he was of such great support to me in navigating the industry and cleaning up the business that I had taken over because of what he did.
Ken maintained an unflinching faith and respect in both me as an individual and in my company throughout a period of time when others had substantial reservations about the future of BetterBounce. This included a period of time when others had significant misgivings about the future of BetterBounce. The success that we have had up to this point can be directly ascribed, and a big amount of it can be due in large part to the assistance that he has offered as well as the leadership that he has provided.
