Larry Dessaint Obituary, Death – At the age of 75, Larry Dessaint passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at the St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, New York.He was the son of Harvey Dessaint and Ida (Patten) Dessaint, both of whom passed away, and was born in Glens Falls on October 16, 1947. On November 20th, 1971, Larry wed Susan Brown in a ceremony that took place at St. Joseph’s Church in Fort Edward. He did his country and the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army and the Vietnam War proud by serving in both of those capacities. After moving back to his hometown, Larry started a family, and after 28 years of service at UPS, he was finally able to retire.
He took great pride in maintaining a spotless lawn, tinkering in his garage, cruising about in his Mustang, as well as spending time with his family, friends, and watching his grandchildren play baseball. In addition to his parents, his brother Daniel Dessaint passed away before him. He is considered to be among the predeceased. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 52 years, Susan; his children, Travis (Anastasia) Dessaint, Danelle (Bill) LaPann; his grandchildren, Teddy, Arina, Casey, Ryan; his siblings, Anita Godfrey, Sandra (Frank) Touart, Sharon (Marty) Bello, Roxane (Mike) Dorsey, Karl Dessaint, Mark Dessaint, Jackie (Bob) Beard; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, followed by the interment of the deceased. The family would like to extend an invitation to everyone to join them at the American Legion in Schuylerville at 4:00.
