Lawrence Leo Martinez Obituary, Death – Lawrence Leo Martinez Sr., who had spent his entire life in the same town of Kraemer, Louisiana, and had passed away on July 17, 2023 at the age of 93, had been born and raised in that town. A visitation will be conducted in his honor at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay, Louisiana on the Saturday, July 22, 2023, beginning at 8:30 am and continuing until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am.
This event will take place on the Saturday. The state of Louisiana will play host to this event. Following the conclusion of the funeral service, the body will be laid to rest in the Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Chackbay, Louisiana, which is located in the state of Louisiana. He is survived by his wife, Joy Martinez; one son, Lawrence “Larry” Leo Martinez Jr.; five daughters, Barbara Butler, Janice Portier, Deborah Boudreaux, Phyllis Robinson, and Gloria Dempster; thirteen grandchildren, Erin Butler, Kasey Keller, Joshua Portier, Lacey Theriot, Jena Parfait, Tiffany Millen, and Gerard Boudreaux; and one brother, Lawrence Leo Martinez Sr.
His parents, Eugenia Torres Martinez and Joseph Edwin Martinez, his wife Joyce Granier Martinez, his daughter Judith Martinez, and his brothers George and Raymond Martinez all predeceased him. Judith Martinez was the only one of his children to survive to adulthood. Joyce Granier Martinez, who was his wife, passed away before he did. Leo Martinez was the sole proprietor of Martinez Electric Motor Service in Thibodaux for almost seven decades, during which time he ran the firm.
