Max Patrick Obituary, Death – The name “Max Patrick WARD” 27.07.1942 – 12.07.2023 I just wanted to let everyone know that Max died away this morning in the early hours with his family and wife Pam by his side. He was a kind and gentle man. Max Ward, the son of Alfred and Irene Ward, was born on July 27th, 1942 in the town of Taree. When he was younger, he served as a crew member on the Tuncurry/Forster punt.
Max uprooted his life and came to Tasmania so that he might find employment on the dock during the construction of the bridge. After relocating to Sydney, Max found work as a scaffolder and general handyman, contributing to the construction of some of the city’s earliest high-rises. Max and Pamela Wilks got married on August 10, 1953, in Sydney after meeting each other in Tuncurry while Max was there to visit his family.
Pam’s hometown was Wingham, and her parents were Bert and Beryl Wilks. In 1966, Max and Pam relocated their family to Taree, bringing their son Steven, who was born the previous year. The year 1968 marks the birth of son Wayne. After working for a few of the area’s builders, Max took a job as a maintenance man at Stacks the Law Firm. There, he was employed for a considerable amount of time until reaching the point where he could retire.
Max was devoted to his family, worked very hard, and was an avid fisherman and inventor. He was a man of ideas right up until his health started to deteriorate not too long ago. His loved ones and friends will grieve his passing deeply. RIP Max. After that, we will attend to the funeral arrangements.
