Nancy A. Wegner Obituary, Death – On Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the age of 62, Nancy A. Wegner, who resided in Two Rivers, passed away suddenly at home due to an unforeseen illness. Joseph and Martha (Tolksdorf) Rehak welcomed their daughter Nancy into the world on August 6, 1960 in Two Rivers. She obtained her high school diploma from Mishicot High School in 1978 after completing her education in the town of Mishicot. She tied the knot with Steven H. Wegner on the 13th of August in 1988 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Two Rivers.
The couple celebrated their thirty-fourth wedding anniversary this year and counted their two kids among their many blessings. Since 1978, Nancy was employed as a caregiver at Maritime Gardens Assisted Living in Manitowoc, and most recently, she liked working as a caregiver at a facility located in Manitowoc called Maritime Gardens Assisted Living. The hallmark channel and anything else “hallmark” were some of Nancy’s favorite things, along with shopping, collecting things (especially teddy bears), and reading books.
The time spent by Nancy with her husband, her kids, and especially her loving granddaughter, Saoirse, was the thing that she valued the most. In addition to this, she was a devoted member of the congregation at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Two Rivers for many years. Her husband, Steven, and her two sons, Justin Wegner of Champaign, Illinois, and Matthew Wegner of Milwaukee, as well as their granddaughter, Saoirse Wegner, will go on after her passing.
She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Mary Ann Wegner, of Two Rivers; one sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth (Robert) Dunn of Manitowoc; brother-in-law, Allan Wegner of Two Rivers; and sister-in-law, Vicki (Kendall) Melius of Manitowoc; in addition, she leaves behind one niece, four nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends. Her parents, Joe and Martha Rehak, as well as her step-sister Marty Gessert, passed away before she did. Her father-in-law, Harvey Wegner, also passed away before she did.
On Friday, July 21, 2023, at eleven in the morning, funeral services will be performed at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, which is located at 3607 45th Street in Two Rivers. The Reverend David Arndt will preside over the funeral, and interment will take place in the following location: Forest View Cemetery in Two Rivers.
