Smithfield VA Shooting – The Smithfield apartment complex was searched, and the bodies of two individuals were located there. An investigation into the matter has been opened after the suspicious circumstances surrounding the deaths of two people who were found in Smithfield prompted the opening of the probe. The investigation is mostly centered on the apartment complex that can be found just off of Wrenn Road.
Two dead bodies were found in the Jersey Park condominiums, according to the Smithfield Police Department’s official report, which may be found here. On Tuesday morning, at approximately 1:30 in the morning, the police were called to the location in question. Shell casings were found by the officers who responded to the scene, but according to the police, the circumstances behind the victims’ deaths are still unclear at this time.
In an effort to piece together what took place, investigators have already begun conducting interviews with any eyewitnesses who may have been present. For reasons that should be evident, the police have decided not to make public at this time the names of the victims or any potential suspects in the case At this time, assistance with the investigation is being provided by the Virginia State Police.
